    “Small Niagara” in Abukuma River
    One of the “One Hundred Falls in Japan” is in Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture.  It’s called “Otsuji-ga-taki (fall of Otsu character)”.  It was named after the shape of falling water which looks line one of Japanese characters pronounced “Otsu”. read more

    Sendai welcomed foreign tourists – the first tour group after the earthquake
       Sendai City held a welcome ceremony for a tourist group visiting Tohoku on July 25th.  The tour was organized by a Hong Kong based travel company specialized in Japan and it is the first group tour coming into this region purely on leisure, not for relief or volunteer activities, according to the city.read more
