New Ferry “Oh-hako-maru” to Launch between Ohma and Hakodate

The run between Ohma, a well-known town for tuna in Aomori Prefecture and Hakodate in Hokkaido, a newly built ferry boat Ohako-maru will be put into service from April 18.

The time taken for a voyage is reduced by 10 minutes from 100 minutes, it connects Ohma and Hakodate for 90 minutes. User-friendly facilities will become available such as a barrie-free room, larger “first seats” and “casual seats”, as well as “family room” catering to families, all ensure a comfortable voyage. With a “dog room” designatef for companion animals launching for the first time on this run, cruising will be more convenient.

Events related to its launch including a ticket commemorating the launch or a stamp rally will be planned. The Ba-ayu currently serving boat will retire on April 8 when relevant events will be held too.
