Omuta Send Lively Sprit to Minamisanriku with Bamboo Lanterns (till January 31)

Approximately 300 bamboo lanterns are being illuminated in Isatomae Fukko Shopping Village in Utatsu, Minamisanriku-cho in Miyagi Prefecture. Hosted by several groups including Miikekouchiku Committee that organizes bamboo lantern events in the Miike area in the city of Omuta, Fukuoka Prefecture, as part of the project named “Support the Recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake Omuta”, the cost associated with its installation is also covered by donations from Omuta citizens.

Heart-warming lights twinkle softly in Minamisanriku thanks to kind thoughtfulness of Omuta citizens.
